7th/8th Grade Teacher

NCCL School is seeking an innovative, dynamic, collaborative 7th/8th grade teacher who will be responsible for teaching math, science, and team teaching social studies starting in the fall of the 2021-2022 school year. This is a unique, exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who wants to work in a well-established institution that remains true to its progressive roots.
We are looking for someone with a math and science background who is energetic, patient, and flexible. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to anticipate and respond to children's varying levels of math understanding. This candidate has the knowledge and ability to develop and implement curriculum, as well as a desire to teach and learn in a progressive school and philosophy. Outside interests that will enrich our program are welcomed and encouraged.

Founded in 1971, and located in Newark, DE, NCCL School (Newark Center for Creative Learning) is an independent, progressive elementary and middle school with an enrollment of 80 students, kindergarten through 8th grade.
