Learning Platform: All staff and students will be completely in person, five days a week. There will be no virtual option this school year.
Ventilation: Each room in the school will be equipped with a Coway air filtration unit, "capturing 99.999%* of fine airborne particles and contaminants down to 0.01 microns, smaller than most bacteria and viruses."
Vaccination: The entire NCCL School staff is fully vaccinated. We strongly encourage all members of our community to get a COVID-19 vaccine. The CDC has now recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older to be vaccinated and boosted.
Hand Washing: Students will be hand washing throughout the day and will also have hand sanitizer available to them at all times.
Cleaning: Our contracted professional cleaning company will thoroughly clean our learning spaces and high-touch surfaces daily.
COVID-19 Positive Cases: NCCL School follows the CDC for up to date recommendations on COVID-19 policies. If a student tests positive for COVID-19, families should notify the school and keep the student at home. Students may return to school when, for at least 24 hours, symptoms are improving overall and, if a fever was present, it has been gone without use of a fever-reducing medication for at least 24 hours. Students must wear a well-fitting mask for five additional days.
Exposure: If you have had a household exposure to a COVID-19 positive individual then you should monitor for COVID-19 symptoms for 10 days. There is no quarantine or isolation needed if the exposed individual does not have symptoms or a positive test result.
Masking: Wearing a mask is optional for students and staff. Masks are highly recommended to be worn if you are immunocompromised or at high risk for getting severely sick with flu, COVID-19, or other respiratory viruses. Masks need to be worn if an individual has been found to be positive for COVID-19 while at school, before being sent home.
General Illness: If a staff member or student is feeling ill, stay home and test for COVID. As a reminder, to return to school from any illness, children need to be free from fever, diarrhea, and vomiting for at least 24 hours without medication.
